She always asked her parents for a pet but they didn't think that she was mature enough to handle the responsibility. On the day she came home with the little dog that she found after the storm, her parents had a long talk with her about responsabilities. They decided she can keep Aldo (the name she gave to the puppy) only if she proves she can watch out for him. During the same week that Aldo rescued the old man from the lake, Alma's father got a promotion. But to take on his new position, he had to move to a different state. And to a block of flats that didn't allow pets. That week was really hard for Alma. She was thinking of a way to keep Aldo safe and not return him to the streets. He was thinking again about that during her walk in the park.
